Family Planning (Maternal & Child Health Services)
Family planning is a key component of maternal, newborn, child, and adolescent health services under the Ghana Health Service (GHS). It supports healthy pregnancies, safe deliveries, and the well-being of mothers, children, and families by enabling individuals and couples to make informed decisions about childbearing.
At our facility, we provide GHS-approved, client-centred, and confidential family planning services in line with national reproductive health policies and guidelines. Our services are integrated into routine antenatal, postnatal, child welfare, and adolescent health care to ensure continuity of care for mothers and families.
Family Planning Services Offered
We provide a full range of modern and natural family planning methods approved by the Ghana Health Service, including:
Oral contraceptive pills
Injectable contraceptives
Implants and intrauterine devices (IUDs)
Male and female condoms (dual protection against pregnancy and STIs)
Emergency contraception
Fertility awareness and natural family planning methods
Counseling and referral for permanent methods where indicated

Antenatal care (ANC) visits to support birth preparedness and spacing

Counseling, Education, and Male Involvement
